"Safety on the Trail" Clinic
Report by Ralph Livingston
Dianne Little and Bill Roy didn't let a little rain stop them from putting on a very successful "Safety on the Trail" Clinic Sept. 18 and 19th. The clinic was hosted by Claire Christensen at her ranch in the hills above Vernon, BC.
Dianne covered some key fundamentals of riding theory while Bill led the group on a merry chase - literally, up hill and down dale, in places where one would not think a horse could go.
Both Dianne and Bill stressed that in order to learn new things, we must expand our comfort zones, in a way that is safe for both horse and rider. Participant reaction was very enthusiastic; one person saying, "I'm something of a ‘clinic junkie’ and I've never seen practical application of riding theory like this offered anywhere before."
The CRTWH can be very proud of providing such a rich learning opportunity for its members & others.
